This morning, winds are 10-20 mph from the southwest to northwest and mountain temperatures are in the teens to low 20s F with single digits F around West Yellowstone and Cooke City. The mountains around West Yellowstone got an inch of new snow while the remainder of the forecast area was dry. Today, temperatures will range from the mid 20s F in the southern areas to the mid 30s F in the Bridger Range. Winds will be 10-20 mph from the southwest and Cooke City may get a trace of new snow tonight.

This morning there is no new snow. Temperatures range from single digits F to low 30s F with an inversion making valleys colder than higher elevations. Wind has been west-southwest at 10-20 mph with gusts of 25-45 mph. Today will be sunny with temperatures reaching high 20s to mid-30s F and southwest wind at 15-30 mph. No snow is expected until later in the week.

Yesterday the mountains near Cooke City got 2” of snow as the storm ended. Elsewhere got no new snow in the last 24 hours. This morning temperatures are single digits to teens F and wind is west-southwest at 10-20 mph with gusts to 40 mph. Today temperatures will reach high teens to mid-20s F with westerly wind at 10-25 mph. No snow is expected for the foreseeable future.

There are 11” of new snow in Cooke City, 4” in Big Sky, 3” near West Yellowstone, and 0-1” around Bozeman. Strong winds continued yesterday with 20-30 mph steady winds and 50-65 mph gusts out of the southwest and west. Winds will back off a little today, but remain strong and gusty. Temperatures this morning are in the teens and won’t rise much. Expect clearing and mostly sunny skies today. Another inch or two of snow may fall in Cooke City this morning before snowfall ends.

In the past 24 hours, 4-6” of snow fell near Big Sky and West Yellowstone, 6-8” near Bozeman, and 15” around Cooke City. Strong west and southwest winds have been blowing 20-35 mph with gusts of 45-70 mph and will continue today. Temperatures are in the 20s F this morning and will rise into the high 20s and low 30s F. A trace of snow will fall around Bozeman today, 1-3” near Big Sky and West Yellowstone, and 3-4” in Cooke City.

Since 5 a.m. yesterday morning 2-4” has fallen and snowfall will continue unabated today. Mountain temperatures are between 0 and +10F with west wind blowing 15 mph and gusting to 30 mph. Wind will stay westerly and blow stronger today with temperatures warming into the teens through tonight. By morning 2-4” will fall around Bozeman, 4-6” in Big Sky to West Yellowstone and 8-12” around Cooke City. The storm will continue into Friday morning in the southern ranges.

There are 3” of new snow in most areas this morning with 5” in the Bridger Range. Winds have been 10-20 mph out of the west with gusts of 30-40 mph. Similar winds will continue today. Temperatures are single digits to teens F. Temperatures will fall slightly during the day in the northern regions and rise slightly in the southern regions. Snowfall during the day today will bring 1-4” favoring the mountains near West Yellowstone and Cooke City. Another round of snowfall will start tomorrow morning.

The mountains of our advisory area have 3-4” of new snow this morning with 1” in the Northern Gallatin Range. Temperatures are in the mid-teens F with 25-30 mph winds from the west to southwest except in the Bridger Range where they are 10-15 mph. Today, temperatures will remain in the mid-teens F before falling this afternoon and the wind will be 15-20 mph from the west. Light snowfall will continue today intensifying tonight and the mountains will have 4-6” new by morning with 6-8” in the Cooke City area.

Since yesterday evening wind has been 15-30 mph out of the south-southwest with gusts of 45-55mph. This morning temperatures are single digits to low teens F. No snow has fallen in the last 24 hours. Today will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the teens to mid-20s F and southwest wind at 15-30 mph with gusts of 35-55 mph. Snow is expected tonight and tomorrow with 2-4” possible by tomorrow morning.

This morning there is no new snow. Temperatures are single digits to low teens F near Bozeman and Big Sky, and below zero F near West Yellowstone and Cooke City. Yesterday in the Bridger Range west wind was 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph. Overnight, throughout the advisory area westerly wind was 25 mph with gusts of 30-45 mph. Today will be partly cloudy with temperatures reaching low teens to low 20s F. West-southwest wind will be 10-25 mph this morning and will increase to 30-45 mph this afternoon. The next round of snow is expected tomorrow night.
